Recovery, Back to Work, and a New Find [SOTEP]

Castle Hill [Hope] Graffiti Park // VAPUR // Austin, TX // 2016

A very few followers are aware that almost one year ago, Vapuric wasted his back. We still pushed to collect and put out content leading into the summer of 2017. By the end of summer, pain and limitations became unbearable, so after we wrapped up all the content for Kansas City Master Piece, VoiceOneArts just about fell totally underground as Vapur's prolonged recovery became a priority. The medical treatments brought us out of KCMO and back into Texas, which is a major reason as to why content had come to such a halt. Surgery finally received the go-ahead and on the 26th of January, 2018, we had major success and a burning passion to get VOA kickin' tuff again. As the recovery from surgery is going smooth and quick, it is safe to say that we will be Kansas City bound before the end of the month to move back into the studio and get back to the roots of what we do here.

Just before Vapuric went in for surgery, we were able to throw out a new video, "Pre-op Speed Painting," to, in some ways, announce a return to the YouTube platform as well as start a new commitment to be putting out at least one or two classic canvas videos a month! Although the pre-op painting was scrappy and quick, we our currently preparing to release the next canvas video this up and coming week! This new piece will be modeled directly off of Vapur's piece from the trip to Austin, TX a couple years back. Keep plugged in for the release date and time by following @voiceonearts on Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter. This new video will be a little different as we expect, but cannot guarantee, that Vapur may do breakdowns throughout the recording to describe and explain each of the steps and techniques used. So stay tuned!

While Vapur works on a new painting for next week's video, we are hard at work on the mobile studio creating the documentary photographic work for a Dallas local artist, Michael McPheeters, a.k.a. Mr. Mural, o.k.a. MARXÖNE. (You can follow him on Facebook @mrmuralart and on Instagram @michaelmcpheeters) He is responsible for the majority of works all throughout Deep Ellum, as well as some of the most official works throughout the whole metroplex; And these pieces are done when Mr. Mural isn't busy traveling to paint as well. He is a close friend of Vapuric's original Dallas mentor DTOX, another major leader and contributor to the Dallas mural scene (https://www.facebook.com/dtoxart/), and spends much of his supplies donating mural work to businesses and organizations that help support the community; Not to mention all the social projects, many of which aim to fight the serious trafficking problem of the red light district. Michael is intensely determined and fueled with a fiery motivation to take the city by storm purely in hopes of lifting everyone up along side him. For more content created by Mr. Mural and other exciting insights he has to offer, please visit his website at: https://www.michaelmcpheeters.com

While browsing videos on YouTube, the craving to get back at slinging paint onto a wall brought about a binge of observing new graffiti artists to follow. SOTEP definitely stood out the most and we definitely recommend subscribing to their channel.
