Project Arrival and Juice

KE Crew // Wall #2

It's been roughly ten months since Kansas City's giant mural project, and despite the many unfortunate complications leading up to the final production of the book, we have managed to pull through and bring the event to life right in your very hands. The most exciting element of this book format is the fact that many of the walls that were documented exist in very narrow or congested locations, so for a good few of these featured walls, it will be the first time anyone will be able to view them in their entirety. The second bit that we are excited to announce is that we managed to produce the book in two versions thus far. Although a lay-flat edition would be ideal, we are still very satisfied with having both the affordable paperback edition as well as the official, upgraded, hardback fine-art edition. The hardback edition differs from the paperback, not just in the binding, but the quality as well having upgraded the paper type to a much more prestigious quality.

As a surprise, we also ended up putting together a poster commemorating the event by creating a montage of all the official panoramas from the event showcasing 16 of the 30 or so walls that got painted. We are stoked on the poster being available now because we understand that photo books may easily reach out of a lot of people's price range, and the poster makes it that much easier for everyone to get in on picking up something that keeps the event alive! Both the book and poster ideas came together so well that we are proud to say that we are expecting to do the same for the 2018 KCMP Mural Project. See below for copies of the poster or the photo book as well as a couple sneak peeks:

Morning Juice

In the official video for one of the highlights from the TakeOver album, the group deliver a characteristically cinematic video in which producer AmpLive plays the keys in a white tux, emcee Zumbi cruises in a red droptop, and guest K Flay wanders the rails. The TakeOver is out now on Gold Dust.
